EMDR Intensives
For Targeted Trauma Healing
When Traditional Therapy Isn’t Enough
Trauma-informed EMDR intensives in Boise and Meridian designed to provide extended sessions for lasting progress, emotional relief, and deeper healing.
What is EMDR Therapy?
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a research-backed therapy designed to help your brain process and heal from traumatic or distressing experiences. Unlike traditional therapy, which often focuses on talking about the past, EMDR works to reduce the emotional charge attached to painful memories, allowing them to feel less overwhelming and "stuck."
In EMDR therapy, a trained therapist uses bilateral stimulation, such as eye movements or tapping, while you focus on specific memories or experiences. This process helps to decrease emotional distress, challenge negative beliefs, and promote emotional healing over time.
EMDR is particularly effective for treating trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and the emotional fallout from difficult life events. In an intensive format, EMDR therapy is offered in extended sessions, allowing for a deeper focus and faster progress toward relief and recovery.
EMDR Intensive May Be A Good Fit If You’re Experiencing:
Persistent anxiety, panic attacks, or overwhelming stress
Deep-rooted negative beliefs about yourself or others
Unresolved trauma from past relationships or attachment issues
Feeling stuck or unable to make significant progress in therapy
Emotional burnout or difficulty adjusting to major life changes
Intense or recurring memories from past trauma that feel impossible to shake
What’s Included in an
EMDR Intensive
Comprehensive Assessment
We begin with a thorough review of your history, current concerns, and goals to ensure that EMDR is the right approach for you. This helps us identify the specific areas to focus on during your intensive.
Extended EMDR sessions give you the time to dive deeply into your work, process targeted experiences, and build momentum, all without the interruptions of weekly sessions.
2–6 Hours of EMDR Reprocessing
Throughout the day, we focus on skills and tools to help you feel safe, grounded, and supported-both during the intensive and beyond.
Resourcing and Grounding Strategies
Time is built into the intensive to reflect, settle your nervous system, and integrate any insights or shifts that arise, ensuring that the changes feel more sustainable and lasting.
Integration and Stabilization
A follow-up session provides space to check in, address any questions, and support continued integration as you move forward after the intensive.
