Who I Work With:

Feeling overwhelmed, powerless, or frustrated by life’s obstacles? I’m here to help teens, adults, couples, and families go from feeling stuck to being empowered. I provide a safe and compassionate space for you to explore your story, and because we are all unique, I tailor my counseling approach to meet your specific needs. My mission is to help you build the tools you need to feel more grounded in life and strengthen you as you move forward in your journey.

I specialize in:

  • Teens

  • Adults

  • Premarital/Marital counseling

  • Trauma/abuse

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

  • Family conflict

  • Life transitions

  • Addiction

I believe that feeling heard and understood can make a meaningful difference. As a counseling intern, I aim to create a warm, safe, and supportive space where you can talk openly and honestly about what you're experiencing. Therapy doesn't have to feel intimidating-it can be a place to pause, reflect, and begin making sense of your feelings at your own pace.

I approach counseling with compassion, openness, and curiosity, meeting you where you are. Together, we can explore your thoughts and emotions, build insight, and work toward self-discovery and growth. I value offering gentle structure and guidance, while also tailoring our work to fit your needs and goals.

Whether you are navigating stress, feeling stuck, or simply wanting to understand yourself better, I'm here to support you in building resilience and moving forward with care and understanding.

After 35 years in the medical field, mostly in oncology and care management, I realized what I loved most was being there for people. Listening to their stories, sitting with their fears, and offering a safe, comfortable space became the most meaningful part of my work. That's what led me back to school to pursue my master's in clinical mental health counseling. I've discovered a deep passion for helping others feel supported and empowered, and for providing them with the tools to grow stronger as they face life's challenges.

When I am not working, I'm usually outside with my two big Australian Shepherds, soaking up nature. I love hiking, fishing, camping, canoeing, and anything that gets me outdoors and grounded. I also enjoy photography, crafts, gardening, reading, and taking road trips to historical towns and cities. I'm a bit of a "crime junkie" too, drawn to crime shows and often feeling deeply for victims and their families.Faith is a large and meaningful presence in my life, shaping how I find strength, hope, and connection in both everyday moments and challenging times. In addition, my heart belongs to my family-my two adult sons and my 3-year-old grandson, who truly light up my life.
